Avata 360 and DJI Desktop editor

As well as getting my DJI Avata 360 yesterday I also downloaded the desktop editor to see if it was any easier than the mobile app for my fat thumbs.

Had a play about in the editor for this video.

NOTE: I wouldn’t normally put so many edits into a flight but wanted to see what it was capable of.

Hi @SGL_Simon I’ve edited your post to include the OneBox preview.

To do this just paste the YouTube link into a new line on its own with no spaces etc.

No need to use the insert hyperlink button in the message composer or any embed code, its all done automatically for you if you follow the above.

What an absolutely superb location, if that’s on your doorstep, then I’m really jealous :+1:t2:

How did you find the desktop editing software compared to the phone / tablet version?

At the moment, I’m still undecided on the Avata 360, until I understand how effective the phone / tablet editing software is.

My devices should be more than sufficient to run it (iPhone 17 pro max & iPad M4 13")

I do have an M4 Mac Mini, but don’t get much time to actually sit down in front of it.

Both will run it no issues , iPad better for the screen size.

Cable or card reader means no need to burn up the storage on your device, the output files for pretty quick but the software does not eat cache space which is really good

Thanks Sparky. I’ll get the hang of posting videos one day!

As Milkman Chris said, your devices will run them no problem.

My fat fingers found it slightly harder to do big edits on the phone. Desktop version was easy to use once you understood how it works. It’s similar to most editors but has the DJI LUTS for colour grading built in. I’ve still to try editing on my iPad.

I like the fact with the A360 I can just hit record and enjoy the flying a lot more. Can reframe and sort out the shot in the edit afterwards. It was only my first flight ignoring a test flight in the garden. But, yes, the beach is just under a mile from my house.

I do think the A360 is a little noisy compared to others. Swear it’s more of a buzzing whine than the Avata 2.
