Avata 360 Missing Recording

Not sure what has happened here and really really anoyed too by this

Flying the Avata 360 at Bennerly Viaduct and I flew under it - TWICE and as you can see from the screen grab from the goggles it was recording but for some reason there is zero trace of the recording both on the drone’s internal memory and the SD card that was in the drone ( it was set to record to internal for some reason too - missed that bit too

Anyone had this happened before - the time stamp for the google recording is 3 mins after the last recording on the drone

Doesn’t it record to the goggles mate?

I have the google recording but its only like the screen shot above - the googles record the screen not what the drone camera captures so I can’t use the 360 footage as it does not exist for some reason - got other footage and photos just not the epic stuff of me going under the bridge in sports mode :man_shrugging:

Are the goggles set to record to goggles and drone ?

Chris - all the other footage is there just this last one for some reason is missing - going to check the settings now as I was a little surprised that it was recording internally and not on the SD card even though it had one and it was previously setup to do so. ( might have missed it in the update )

Maybe the update, out of curiosity have you been interchanging the goggles between drones?

Just checked the goggle settings and here is the odd one - it is set to record to SD ( but it did not ) its set to record both and it is set to record on take off - but I know I did stop recording before the fly though to take some pano photos and then as you can see by the red dot on the screen shot it was recording as I have the goggle recording just not on the drone

Only thing I can think of is maybe I did not stop the recording when I landed and powered off - that might be the only reason - the end of the goggle video for the flight does not seem to show a power down and loss of signal sort of thing - it just stops when I has landed I guess - oh well - just a reason to go back here and do it again I guess haha

Every day is a school day

I did do a test flight with the googles and the FPV Controller 3 on the neo and I used this setup with the Avata 360 ( oh man what a game changer over that silly motion controller haha )

Not sure if it will be the setup of choice for this as man I have just looked at the AirData logs to see if anything stand out and other than the constant moan about the bonding to the account

I cant see why it would do it - It has to be that I did not stop recording before power off - its the only thing I can think of and I am sure it has done something like that on the Mini 3pro some time back

Throw the card back in and power it up see if it finishes the write to the card, previous models have done it

Is your SD card failing? Maybe that is why it switched to internal and lost some footage?

done that a few times already trying to find the footage and nope nada :frowning: oh well - like I say a reason to go back haha - its not far like 40 mins away

not seen any warnings about it - though now you mention it - it didnt play ball the very first time I put it in the drone and I had to format it on both the laptop first then again in the drone ( always format any card in any camera with the camera for the first time I use it )

So maybe just maybe its not a happy card - but it has worked in the past as I do have 360 footage on it - its just this one clip and the one I was most keen to use as it was the only bit of footage of me flying under the viaduct twice - looks great on the goggles haha

Here is just a trimmed down version from the goggles

This isn’t an issue that I have had so far with the A360, although yesterday it wouldn’t set the gimbal to 360 mode after take off, reporting “gimbal motor overload” or some such similar message.
