Back pack, rucksack, hard case and soft-case recommendations

I didn’t think you were mate.

I have my streets, almost 50 years of them. Plus I’m short tempered, agressive, and believe in fight over flight, aint no fucker stealing shit off my back without a broken jaw

I’ve plumped for the Lowepro Droneguard BP250 as Wex are selling it for just over £130. I will take my chances with it on the mean streets of Norfolk!

Good choice Ive been very happy with mine. Here is my Air3s loadout to give you some ideas.

Drone is in the protective wrap with the propellers removed because its painted. Two extra batteries
next in line to use. The rain cover for the bag is under the small strap and the loose props are protected under that which seems to work well. Controller with a cable fed through the internal zip for charging between spots. An sd card case, card reader and an insta360 in the other bit.

Then a bit of a situation in the large top space. Two anker 737 powerbanks connected to a limeta air3 charger which accepts two 100w inputs at the same time so I can fast charge the other 3 batteries in the bag (No it all never overheats and you can monitor the battery charger with an app). And my roll up inflatable cushion in case im sat somewhere cold for a long time.

I can move the batteries in the main compartment and also fit a mini 3 pro in there and the controller in front of the battery charger if needed.

That is an impressive setup so say the least. Cheers for the advice!

I have a Mini 4 pro and Neo, both fly more combos. Although I have hard cases for both, am thinking of buying a backpack to store both plus accessories. Does anyone have any recommendations? I hear Lowepro are good.

There’s lots of recommendations if you put it in the search bar been discussed very much worth a butchers :+1:

I did do a search, but a) many were previously sold items and b) many posts were several years old. Was hoping for more recent recommendations.

All depends on what you want, a specific camera type backpack - like a LowePro - can work well for a couple of drones, but I found it somewhat limiting for longer walks.

I just picked up an Osprey Kyte 68 (women’s version, men’s specific is a Kestrel), a backpacking rucksack of decent quality that has a large U-zip opening to the main compartment. Its not padded, but I can out my AIR3 in the flymore case inside along with the AVATA 1 and 2 in their homemade leather cases and then add the MINI3 Pro - if I think I will need it, along with walking gear - for walking in the fells of Lake District and Hills and Muntains of Wales and Scotland.

I have to say it is comfortable and secure to wear, with a great air vent system on the backpanel that meant walking up Loughrigg Fell on Saturday in 18C I was completely comfortable and no sweat whatsoever.

Just so happens that I ordered a LowePro Photo Active BP 200 yesterday to carry my Mini 4 Pro and assorted cameras. I wanted the smallest pack I think I can get away with though, so 16L might not be quite enough for you (I have a 20 year old large LowePro from my days of hauling long lenses around, which I almost never do any more).

I think this must be end of range, because it is out of stock everywhere, but I managed to snaffle one for £75, half its original selling price (with the coupon ‘Spring25’):

I can recommend the Lowepro Flipside Trek 450. Will easily take those two drones, lunch, and light water proofs.

Thanks for the images. Looks like you had a good time, and it does appear to be very lightweight. I would want something much smaller, and with more padding around it, but the images were very helpful to know what I don’t need.

(Just came back from the Lake District, as my brother has a guest house in Windemere. Beautiful part of the world).

Thanks for this. I think I want something a bit smaller just to focus on the drones and accessories, not one bag for everything. Having the model number was useful - thanks.

Excellent - I still think I want to go slightly smaller, but it seems LowePro is the brand to go for. Can now focus my research a little.

Lowepro would be the way to go due to the modular set up. I have the lowepro BP250 droneguard . Plus like yourself hardcases.
