I visit Bakewell often and thought it was about time to make a short video. I will be premiering a video of the church tonight too.

Lovely video. Last time I visited Bakewell was many years ago when the market was held in the town centre. It’s now held away from there. The bridge leading over the river had thousands of love locks on it ( now removed). Nice piece of music too Quackers. 
That was so wonderfully well done, on so many levels. I loved the lower level shots where the public didn’t look up. Seeing the Postie was geat, it reminded me we were still in Britain. Then the retreat back from the church told me that it was the conclusion of the video. Oh and yes, the ducks at the very beginning - all brilliant!
I have some great memories of Bakewll. My wife almost choked to death on a Bakewell Tart there. It wasn’t at all funny at the time (as you may imagine), I love my life to bits, but looking back I can only imagine the thiing I would have put on her gravestone.
The big question is, which bakery has the original (or best) Bakewell Tart?

I was born and grew up there 
Not a lot in the way of jobs or housing for locals though, so I never came back after university.
The best place to find a Bakewell tart always used to be around the bus shelters on Rutland Square at pub closing time

Rutland Arms Hotel is probably the ideal place (given that’s where it was invented), but yes - the Old Original Pudding Shop used to sell the best ones. Although several of my school friends worked there for short periods, so I could be biased
