Is there any other way to check the charge level of a battery, short of attaching it to the drone and starting it up?
Hi Robert,
I’m new to drones, so I can’t help much.
I gather you mean more than pressing the battery button once which will give you the level of charge in quarters.
I hope others can give you a more detailed answer.
Hi Robert,
Not familiar with DJI batteries (are they 4s?), but if you have a volt meter and can check the actual battery voltage, the chart below may be of some help.

Which drone.?
Oops sorry, it’s the Mavic 2 Pro. I know that I can get a rough idea of level via the battery button but I was looking for something a little more precise.
Thanks SeaHunter, yup the batteries are 4S and thanks for the info table
If you go to the Go4 App and select the battery it will give you each cells voltage, etc, not sure if that’s the sort of info you require.
(It has to be fitted to the drone of course and the drone switched on, with the remote as well.)
You could make a small device to check voltage for under a fiver if that’s what your after.
The 4 leds are good enough for me.
you do not even need the battery fitted to check it, just push the button when it out of the drone.
Sorry, it’s been a looooooooong day Rich apologies!, remove as you see fit !.
I need my bed !! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Thanks guys, I’m grateful for all the input! Using a device suggested by callum and the table provided by SeaHunter, should be all I need
