We recently bought a DJI mini 3 from someone and it came with care refresh. I checked with DJI and they said that I could pay any time from now until December and it will renew from that date. I had a call from the seller to tell me that they were called from DJI to tell them that they are being refunded. After asking DJI about the drone being covered they have cancelled the care refresh on the drone and refunded it to the seller. My care refresh has now gone and at the moment I do not even have a renewal. I have asked them where my money is and what is going on with this. If you buy a drone, make sure you renew it at the end of the current care refresh or you will lose out.

Same story - ish, guy sold his air 2s I think it was, then received a refund for his care re fresh remainder that he sold it with, I’m not sure if it triggers automatically now or what, maybe when the the drone is paired to another or new account,
I was actually talking to DJI about it and they told me that it would run until december without a problem. It was only when I renewed it to run an extra year from december that it all went tits up. They said that the refund was without my permission and they have escalated it. Not fair if you buy a drone with care refresh and lose out (however just to point out that the seller is a good friend so it is not as bad as someone got something out of it but if it was a stranger who sold me a care refresh and then got it back once the transaction was though I would be pissed). Just gotta not really fly it much until they sort it in case of a problem.
As @Kirky said, someone mentioned something similar on here in the past day or two. They had just sold a drone, and got a surprise refund from DJI for the unused care refresh.

I have been searching…. I don’t think the post was specifically about this, but it was mentioned.
Strange as I had been talking to someone at DJI prior to this who agreed there would not be a problem and I did explain to them. So I have it in the e-mail that they confirmed it so I would hope they will do a good willl gesture for 4 months.

In respond to your concern, if you will renew the DJI Care Refresh Plan for 1 yr, the care plan will be activated and it will starts on December 08, 2023, right after the 1 year Plan will expire. You may renew the plan before that.

As for the Care refresh information, if the drone has the Care refresh plan, even if it was sold, the Care refresh plan will be with the drone. If you would like us to check on the drone, if there is a Care Refresh, please provide the serial number of the drone.
