Belper East Mill

Just a couple of miles down the road from Heage Windmill in Belper is the impressive East Mill built in 1912. There is also an equally impressive weir.

Where I lost my first DJI Mini after only 3 weeks of ownership. :sob:

Shame it’s being left to go to wrack and ruin. :worried:

Oh dear how did you lose it? In the water?

Awsome

Thank you. :+1:

About 30 yrs ago, I worked across the road from this at Aristoc Hosiery in West Mill . :+1::+1::+1:

Inexperiencce.

I keep thinking of having a bit of an FPV session in their car park. Pretty sure it’s not in use 24hrs for police dog training like it says on the gate.

Looks like that came down on the roof of the small bridge that used to connect West Mill with East mill. I’ve actually been inside that very building

Yep. Then fell into the street and some ne’er-do-well made off with it in the 5 minutes I was looking for it in the wrong place (is my best guess). Yes, it had op. ID on, but I scoured the place for an hour and comedyhunter even came over and searched the rooftops. Vanished.

It’s all ancient history now. Bygones. My only regret is replacing it with another Mavic Mini and not the Mini 2 (as everyone on here was saying I should) but I was already smarting at the loss and wasn’t in the mood for getting an even more expensive replacement.

I’ve since squandered much more than that smashing up FPV stuff so, hey. Whatever.

BTW, my last visit to the Mill with a quad was far more stupid and somewhat less disastrous. (Tiny whoop diving.)

Crikey, you’ve got to watch out for those Belper Nailers :wink::wink:
