Bennerley Viaduct 29/6/22

Yeah, seems like I’m over this way a lot more these days.

Should plan ahead and throw the drone/s in the boot next time!

Large open areas of concrete, surrounded by heavy vegetation, a water hazard and a huge, steel bridge to wedge your drone in…should be fine.

Yep, that sure does happen :man_facepalming:
But Steve @speatuk and his e-scooter was there to retrieve it :+1:

Along with people arming thier quads without warning… (in before @Howard78 )

You’re not selling it to me… though you have basically read my mind.

I think we’ll try Harborough Rocks or maybe the local park this time.

It’d be different if the whole purpose of my evening wasn’t maidening my new HDZero build.

There appears to be quite a bit of water as well… that stuff is like a magnet to drones…

As @GunjaFPV can testify :grimacing:

We were all learning back then mate!

You can consider yourself lucky that Willington isn’t currently accessible. Mind you, that’s surrounded by open fields, too.

You can see from the satellite images how much concrete roadway there is at Bennerley.

Both have railway lines as well…

Bennerley will be find for a man of your talents Steve.

The water is mostly small ponds near the viaduct and when I’ve been we tend to fly away from that area.

As for the concrete - just “try” to have more controlled landings and you’ll be fine.
There are some bits of soft ground to aim for if you plan to have hard landings.

Plus the fact that the viaduct itself is now open as a public footpath, which it wasn’t on previous visits. But as Howard says, we generally fly in the other direction.

Funnily enough that was my original thought for meet but then I was reminded that its not accessible :frowning:

Let’s ask the land owners for permission lol. Get a key that’d annoy the farmer hah

Gonna be there around 5:30pm, if thats too early for you Ill just wait for you to arrive Jez :+1:t2:

Yeah, I finish at 5, but I’ve only just thought to put some packs on charge - shouldn’t be long though.
