Betaflight 4.3

Yes, you can adjust the PID’s from within the goggles, or at least you can with BF 4.2.11. I doubt this will transition to sliders in BF 4.3 for the DJI system, as like Fleetwood, DJI are 20yrs behind everyone else, when it comes to the BF OSD.

Ive decided to take the plunge and Im updating my Apex to 4.3 this evening. Heard too many good things about it to resist anymore lol

I’ve been advised in the past “if it’s not broke don’t touch it”, with regards to BF. I took the jump to Edge TX, but I want to spend the weekend setting up quads (and getting rates right), is it worth looking to update them to a more recent version (ic. 4.3)? I have Tiny Hawks, and a mob 7 too… I think Yith noticed my main quad also was 4.2.x which I thought I had done.

So, do it? Or not… hah

I’ve done all my quads up to 4.3 except the Diatone Roma F4, which flies so nicely on the stock tune that I don’t want to touch it.

Also not my tinywhoops. They’re all on their stock versions. I did upgrade one of them to 4.2.x when I first got it and it flew awful. I keep meaning to try emuflight, etc…

If you keep your backups of the earlier version settings then you can always back 4.3 out and go back to what you had.

I’d say that for an untuned self-build, you may as well do it.

I must admit I was quite impressed when I updated my iflight Titan to BF4.3. Even more so a few weeks later when I realised I’d been flying it with one of the props mounted upside down🙃

My new FC requires 4.3, and I think the other drone which may or may not have left china will be on 4.3. Will the RC configurator (think 10.8) still support the 4.2.5 versions I’ve got on other quads (and may or may not update at some point)?

Yes
