I’m thinking of transferring the O4 Air unit with Flywoo wide angle adapter from my Meteor 75 O4 to the Meteor 75 II PNP SBUS unit and frame. For £59 this doesn’t sound bad.
I may have to widen the camera hole on the canopy again, but seems like a Flywoo wide angle adapter might just fit.
This should work, shouldn’t it?
It should. The new DJI O4 wide is a slightly different size/shape compare to the Flywoo but very close - see
Where do I get me one of those canopies?! I wonder if there is a similar mod to what @TheBinman did with the Pavo Femto / Pico II canopy?
The Pavo canopy fixed the jello on the Femto, and the plastic frame of the meteor would be much easier to cut than carbon
BetaFPV sells them it seems - even comes with the fancy grommets and an antenna ![]()
@Playtripper frame
I’d hazard a guess that the new camera mount won’t fit, there’s nothing to cut into, on version one for the silicone grommets ![]()
The Meteor 75 Pro II frame is less than a £5
, but you will need the ipgraded motors too, it’s fitted with the Upgraded More Efficient 1102 Freestyle Motors (2026) 21,000kv compared to the regular 1102 Brushless Motors 22,000kv. Which will set you back another £35.
You may as well, buy the plug’n’play version (no VTX) for £60 plus P&P, then insert your current VTX
Yeah I looked a bit harder too and worked out the same, but I was already overexcited about it so for a few quid I ordered a frame and a canopy and am going to try a transplant ![]()
I was tempted by the full PnP unit for the better motors, but figured I would give it a go, and if I love it and decide to upgrade later I will still have a spare frame and a canopy.
You couldn’t make it up. Wanted to do the upgrade and take it on holiday, but the bloody parts arrived today, the day I already left for my holiday. ![]()
Still I suppose it does mean I have a ready made project when I get back ![]()
Quick update on transplanting my Meteor Pro 1 into a Pro 2 frame/canopy.
The good news is that everything fits fine. Even the little carbon fibre “X” brace that I had below the main frame fitted on fine, which surprised me as the Pro 2 frame is supposed to be a touch larger.
I am also adding a Flywoo o4 Wide camera. You have to remove the mounting case that Flywoo add (too wide), and instead just use the main camera case. You can attach to the canopy using the smaller screws that attach the Flywoo mount to the main camera case. To be fair those screws (3mm) are slightly too long (the Betafpv canopy is thinner than the Flywoo mount), but they hold reasonably firmly and I will probably replace with some 2mm screws to really lock it tight.
The new canopy looks badass!
Alas I haven’t been able to fly it yet as somewhere along the line my AIO board seems to have given up. ![]()
That’s superb to hear, because I have the Meteor 75Pro II frame and canopy winging its way to a letter box extremely close to me (my letterbox)
Should be delivered within the next 48hrs, that’s if Evri deliver as per their email ![]()
Transplant of FC, Motors & VTX complete.
I’ve just got to check the motor directions, fit the props and test fly it. ![]()

I had a similar problem, after buying another box of various length mini screws, the heads of the M1.4x2mm were too small and passed straight through the slot within the new camera canopy.
So I 3D printed some small washers using PLA. 4mm diameter, 2mm thick with a 1.5mm hole In the centre.
Does the camera require M1.4? (I would expect M-two tbh)
Because I’m using the Flywoo Wide Camera conversion kit, it needs M1.4. Original Flywoo kit comes with 3mm but their too long.
Not related to this thread topic sorry
So if you’re switching everything to DJI, what you doing with the old analog equipment?
You might have a customer, if you’re selling. ![]()
