Beverley Lock connects Beverley Beck/Canal to the River Hull in East Riding of Yorkshire. It must be one of the shortest canals in the UK as it is only 3/4 mile in length.

And that list doesn’t even mention the Birth Canal which is (usually 
) even shorter.

A Pygmy Seahorse doesn’t have ears, but gives birth to its young .. one of the very smallest animals to do so.

I’ll settle for 3rd as Titchfield Canal is actually 2 miles long, used to live nearby in a past life.
