Beverley Lock - Added to Rivers and Canals in East Riding of Yorkshire, Yorkshire and the Humber

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Beverley Beck, one of the shortest canals in the UK at 0.75ml connected the industrial areas of the town with the river Hull. The original waterway was converted to a canal in 18th century and the lock was installed to control water levels

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 27/09/2025. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location. Landowner permission may be required before taking off.

Great pics, but must ask, a submarine on Beverly lock?

Hi @markasmithson
Apparently it’s an old tanker (milk I think) that a retired bloke gradually converted to a fake submarine, I read somewhere that it has even given trips up the length of the canal, surfaced. Can’t guarantee truth of that but why not, you could always peddle Fred Flintstone style.
