Have strapped together the guts of an old Protek (which flew fine). Flies beautifully, for a few seconds, then a single ESC beep and it drops out of the sky. I have GPS Rescue configured, but only kicks in >50m away. I was way closer than that so not sure what the behaviour should be.
Is annoying to say the least!
This is from the logs, the red line along the bottom graph is the RSSI signal. I also downloaded it as CSV and you can see it dropping to zero.
I am running TBS Nano Tx and Rx, Beast F7 AIO FC, Caddx Vista. Never had a problem with this combo before tbh.
Does this indicate total Rx loss?
The next question is of course why.
I also have little experience with the log files tbh - but at least I remembered to turn them on this time!
Couple of other bits that sprung to mind after chatting to your earlier…
As it’s a new Crossfire rx you’re using, check it’s on 868MHz (UK/EU), not 900.
Also found some sugggestions of what the RSSI dbm values should look like if you turn TX power down to 25mw:
“Also, he should check rssidbm at 1 meter, min power. It should hover around -20dBm it’s a great health check to prevent hardware issues to surprise”
Would be interesting to look at RSSI dbm values in the logfile, if you have them. Looks like the value you’re currently graphing is RSSI %, which is some derived value I guess. Dbm is the raw signal strength.
