Boddin Point and Elephant Rock - Added to Coastal Scenery in Scotland

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission not required.

The site of old Lime Kilns and salmon fishing station, and slightly farther along the coast is Elephant Rock and Dunninald Cemetery.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 20/04/2023. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Hi. Theres nothing much to add really except that parking is limited to a small sort of layby. Theres a fairly easy and short path along the top of the cliff to Elephant Rock. There’s also an interesting headstone in the cemetery near the rock…the grave of a man who apparently died 19 years before he was even born. George James Ramsay is the man with the unusual distinction. When he was buried, an error was obviously made on the headstone. Beneath ‘In Memory of George James Ramsay’ the inscription on the sea-facing stone reads: ‘Born November 24, 1859, Died December 17, 1840’, but I forgot to take a photo of it.
I think if you can time your trip to coincide with high tide it gives a better effect of the “elephant”
