Boeing B-29 Superfortress crash site - Added to Everything Else in East Midlands

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

I don’t think you need to obtain permission from anyone to fly.
Parking is on Snake Road (Snake Pass Summit) on the A57.
It’s a few miles to the crash site and weather can change so be prepared.
It can be a bit treacherous under foot to reach the site.

NOTE - I made a mistake with the take off and landing location.
We took off and landed at the crash site itself.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 13/10/2024. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

I’ve not flown here, but I’ve walked to it and photographed it, using a DSLR.

Will have to go visit again.
