Hi, I’m getting really interested in Fpv so much so that I spend every spare moment on YouTube, I will be getting my Radio 1st probably the FrSky Q7 and a simulator program to learn to fly the drone but I’m not at the stage of wanting to build yet but wondered on getting a book to give me an idea of the parts involved, my Clockmakers Brain craves the knowledge of construction, I’m sure I will build my own eventually & I have fully Equipped Workshops so I’m lucky in that respect, it’s knowing what goes together Transmitters receivers etc, I’m sure when I do get to the stage of self build my Engineering back ground & workshops with a milling machine and various lathes from a large lathe for Work on Church clocks to a Watchmaker’s lathe that can work down to nearly a human hair, I need to know all the bits prices nuts and bolts of the Fpv world, so hoping someone can push me in the right direction, & I’m also happy to help if anybody should need something making and me and my machines could help just give me a shout.

We’re all here to help you along, but I’d suggest removing your phone number from a public accessible forum for your own safety I’ll tag in the @Committee who will sensor out your number for you as a safety measure.
Any questions you have feel free to ask away as a collective group we have all the knowledge you could ever need
As for a book recommendation I’ve heard good things about this one:
But I don’t own it so I can’t give you my own opinion on it, only that I’ve heard good things about it.
Joshua Bardwell on YouTube will become your teacher, also look up Oscar Liang’s site for a breakdown of all the separate parts. Finally for/from an Engineer’s point of view you should look in to Chris Rosser’s videos where you can nerd out on the science behind it all.
Not book ideas I know, but it’s where a lot of people get their info from.
I have found this guy very useful. There is a massive amount of knowledge on his website. Basically, if you want to know something, type it in google followed by “oscar liang”.
