Hello new drone user, within this area there is restrictions because of airport, but ive seen places near the beach like mudeford and highcliffe and hengistbury head, can someone tell me as of 2026 can you fly at these locations, as i did a search on here seen people have done it but i searched google and it is saying you cant fly here.

There are no FRZ’s in that area apart from the massive one surrounding the airport, and Mudeford and Highcliffe are both well outside that zone.
I understand it doesnt say anything on there but apparently with bcp council they banned all landing and takeoff on bcp land, if you search it on google it says so im very unsure

You generally cannot take off or land a drone from public pavements in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) area due to local council policies, safety rules, and obstruction
Landowner Permission: BCP Council controls take-off and landing (TOAL) on public land and generally prohibits it without prior written consent from their events or property
Pavements and Highways: Launching from a public pavement or highway is dangerous and can obstruct pedestrians. Doing so violates local obstruction rules and highway safety expectations under the **[BCP]

So do i need to be silver or gold member to be able to see all of the pink areas, also im getting a dji lito x1 so woth dji will the software on that tell me the same where i can fly?? Thanks

Yes you do need to be a gold member to see the pink areas.
Your drone will only make you aware of Red FRZ’s and physically won’t let you take off within them. But it knows nothing of NOTAMs, SSSI’s, foreshore arrangements, or about any council rules at all ! It remains your responsibility to make sure you fly somewhere safe, not DJI’s.
Don’t know why your Google answer focused on take-off from roads and highways, which nobody really ever tries to do, being a rather obviously bad idea, regardless of rules ! Most people find a field, park or similar in the area and fly from there. I don’t know what rules Bournemouth Council may have about that, but there is no reason they should not let you fly, if you present them with your operator ID and other relevant information when or if asked for it ! And I wouldn’t let it stop me flying there all the time they didn’t ask for it or actively try and stop me ! And if you fly considerately and sensibly then nobody should feel the need to do even that !
I do notice now all the SSSI’s along the beaches, and the tiny, unhelpful foreshore areas at their limits, but you should look up those specific SSSI’s and find out what they are protecting and if a drone as small as yours would affect it - a lot of these areas are there for the protection of plants and other flora / ground-based fauna that isn’t affected in the slightest by drone use within that area, in which case just fly there with caution and consideration for wildlife ! Exceptions should be made for nesting seasons and protective birds of course - we do affect them in some small way. But it is generally down to your discretion about whether it is OK to fly in these areas.
There is a lot to check every time you plan a flight, but it becomes less tiresome once you become good / fast at it.
Check the NOTAMs and FRZs before you go, use something like UAV forecast to get the useful weather info, check any SSSI’s you want to fly within, and when you arrive at your intended launch site take a little time to look around and gauge if the overall situation makes this a good place to fly from. Obviously the less crowded the better, so try and choose times when these places are less busy, but they don’t have to be empty of people for you to be able to fly there, and if you don’t see specific no drones signs prominently displayed, then you are probably good to go and don’t need anyone else’s permission to do so in advance.

I understand i wouldnt take off on pavement or anything i would go to a field or somewhere that is alot safer but just principle i have seen alot of drone videos online showing people flying from out on the public highway thats why i was asking,

I know people do it out of hours when not many people are around, and also unless someone physically sees you take off from a certain point that cant really prove anything but i try to abide by the law as much as i can.
That’s not the case I’m afraid. Your drone most likely has a flight record you cannot remove, which will show your location as well as the drone’s. Council’s can’t make you hand that over AFAIK, but police can, so it is good to be aware of that. You CAN be held responsible, but whether you are is another thing altogether, and agreed it is highly unlikely unless someone reports you or there is a crash involving a 3rd party.

Depending on the drone/controller, its a pretty easy exercise if you have avoided an internet connection
I was presuming some sort of DJI machine would be involved, and do we not REQUIRE the internet to sign in to that to be able to use it with normal controls ?
Certainly not. I fly with my phone and controller isolated from the internet. Just turn off the wireless on the controller and put your phone into aircraft mode.
