Britannia Monument, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk

Took the opportunity the other day to fly what must be one of the country’s more unusually situated landmarks: the Britannia Monument, or Norfolk Naval Pillar, in Great Yarmouth.

It was built to commemorate Nelson between 1817 and 1819, and actually predates Nelson’s Column in Trafalgar Square. Sadly the surroundings for this monument aren’t quite as grand as its London-based cousin’s…

You didn’t manage to get the drone very high!

I think when that was taken more air ship than drone lol , it came up on a Norfolk pictures group but I couldn’t copy the rest of it
