Where’s this, Karl?

Black rock sands. I think @Steviegeek will add to dronescene once he has time to edit his videos

Watch out for the Black Rock “puddles” that are really 2 feet deep holes dug by the locals to stop people driving on the beach, as my mate found out when his kite board nose dived into one!

So how far you go?! :wink:

They drove all the way to North Wales and setup all their auto tracking systems and made it a solid 500m Martin :laughing:

As long as they could tell orientation I’m cool with that :smiley: :smiley:

Within VLOS of course :grinning:

And my what good eyes you have grandma ;o)

It was a bitch when both our crossfire’s failsafed though

GPS Rescue to the rescue lol What was the weather like? Was there high winds?

Both planes on INAV so no worries on that score :+1:
It was windy but no disasters :slightly_smiling_face:

Time to upgrade to the Early Learning Radio System, that can do 100km… Fail safe at 500m… right…

@gunja99

Martin, two possible causes…

  • Lowish TX battery, (only2S) without powering CRSF module via it’s XT30
  • Antenna cross polarisation, Plane vertical, TX horizontal.

Those things that don’t matter when flying close at the club but become important when range extends.

More testing planned to confirm though :smiley:
