Oh man - I so wanted to get close /er to the tower than I did but even crossing the runway had me feeling sick haha even though I could clearly see the Air 3s in the sky ( man I would have been so limited with the Mini 3pro so the 3s was an epic investment for this )
This is just epic man - respect !

I realised that it was possible when told only the aprons were off limits.
I need to suss out parking near there - any tips?

I just had tonsuck it up and pay for 1 hour parking in the car park at thr front of air port @LE60LAD yea the tower is just slightly before the off limits section 
just checked mine but yea just rang them back up and just said you cool if i do this n that shot and they were fine as long as i didnt go past the buildings:)

DUDE your are a ledged there - well worth the £150 parking for an hour haha ( Lucky your not at Luton man them prices are mad haha )
Crazy they missed the tower out in the restriction but I looked and I was like OMG you jammy git you haha
