@Pixels - the link I mentioned in the other thread is below. I manually select my settings now, this was ISO 400 and 1/500. Then using the colour pages in DV I tried to bring it to life.
Great that really ‘pops’ ! You may have overcooked the green a little but I’m being pedantic !
Noted you used 400 asa 1/500 - as an old time photographer I may have gone to 100 iso and 1/125 for the same exposure - I always aim for the lowest iso but there doesn’t seem anything wrong with that render at 400 iso.
So what did you do on the DV colour page . Will try that out
The Anchor, just down the road from me, (Long Ditton) my family had lunch there the other week.
A good drone shoot for you would be over the new M25/A3 interchange - almost complete now and a massive project … in fact I may go down there and give it a go myself.
Thanks, you are probably right re the green as I am still experimenting. But, its not grey as per the original footage. Ive started using nodes now in the colour page, and adjusting a different setting on each node. Then grabbing a still and applying the same nodes to all clips unless they need their own seperate adjustments.
You can also go to colour management and have DV auto correct your whole movie, but thats an entirely different process and one not compatible with my camera apparently.
M25 A3 junction has been done to death on youtube, I prefer a technical challenge and avoid bare flights such as that!
Always
I lock my ISO to 100, and use a ND filter to get as near to 1/60 as I can at 30fps.
I am finding I am generally at 100 / 200 ISO. That morning was very gloomy though. The video output is deceptive.
Following a few mistakes I am now switching between Pro and Auto before commencing to give me an indication of roughly where I should be when filming. I am sure over time I will start to pick up the right settings based on the environment.
Stills however, it looked blue when I tried to take one on the weekend so I had to go back to Auto. Completely different tothe video. I put my white balance to zero on advice on here for colour grading later.
In the DV resolve colour page check out the Hue Vs Saturation control
There you can target colours and adjust their colour.
There will be a YT video on it somewhere
It’s a powerful adjustment tool and you can put it in your chain of nodes, so after making the adjustments you can quickly see the before/after by turning the new node off/on.
