Hi.
While flying the DJI mini 3 pro With the controller that has the built in screen. Can a second person view the live camera footage on a second device, like a phone. If so can you please explain how to set this up.
It depends where the second person is. Are they with you - if so, yes it has an HDMI out port.
Not sure if it’s possible
There is an option to live stream to the likes of Youtube
I have done this with the Rc-N1 but not the DJI RC
Have a look in the Fly app under the transmission tab, you would need to hotspot your phone to the controller and set up the RTMP address
There is no video output, no hdmi output, host output is for cellular and I think it can do a mic, there for charging and transferring data.
You cannot add a third party app like mirroring.
Atm I say no but be happy if proven wrong
It’s not the pro he has.
The DJI RC does not have any video output port. Perhaps your thinking of the DJI RC Pro or the DJI Smart Controller which does have one.
Yes I assumed he had the Pro. You’re correct - there is no video output on the N1.
I’ve streamed my drone video to my Desktop PC over WiFi using this method outlined on Youtube:
It requires your android device and PC to be connected to your local network so this might present problems in the field. Maybe viewing on a laptop with an ad-hoc WiFi network might work? In any event, one drawback is the 3-4 second latency of the video on the second device.
@MAVerIC as per topic title, the OP has the DJI RC remote, your suggestion won’t work.
If you use litchi for DJI Drones, it has a companion app called “LITCHI VUE”, which apparently streams the video to another device.
Not tried it myself, but maybe look into it?
@Rontorbay as per topic title, the OP has the DJI RC remote, your suggestion won’t work.
You can’t side load any apps on to that remote.
Ah!! I missed the fact that you were using a DJI Remote
Have the 2nd person stand over your shoulder and press the record button in their camera app.
Most likely not the answer you’re looking for, but potentially the only way I think.
Unfortunately cannot sideload apps, im hoping it maybe be hacked to able this, I won’t be holding my breath on this.
I’ve tried but until installation permissions gets hacked to allow it’s pointless trying.
I’ve tried multiple phones and changed different settings in developer options linked up to the controller but does not acknowledge the mobile phone is even plugged in.
