Can I fly in Poland?

Hi everyone so I’m looking for some advice.

Traveling to Poland on holiday in May from the UK and just wondering if I need to register as a drone operator there or will my UK Flyer ID and Operator ID be enough?

I looked online and it said I need to register as an operator but when I went on it was asking about “Confirmation of the right of residence on the territory of Poland”
so I was wondering if I was on the right page.

Just wondering if anyone else has done any flying in Poland and has done all the legal bits to be able to fly over there and could give me some tips and pointers.

Cheers,
Brad

No, your UK Flyer ID and Operator ID are not valid for flying in

Poland

Since Brexit, the UK is no longer part of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and there is no mutual recognition of drone registrations between the UK and the EU.

Key 2026 Requirements in Poland

Insurance: As of late 2025/early 2026, Poland mandates third-party liability insurance for all operators of drones weighing between 250g and 20kg. Ensure your policy covers international travel to Poland and meets the minimum coverage of 50,000 SDR (approx. £53,789).

Flight Checks: Before flying in Poland, you are often required to “check in” or report your flight via local apps like DroneTower or the PANSA portal.

Remote ID: Most modern drones must have Remote ID active, broadcasting your EU Operator ID.
Labeling: Your new EU Operator ID must be clearly displayed on your drone.
