Thanks, your advice is actually the same as my interpretation for Article 16 however as new to all of this, I was unsure as to whether my understanding was correct. My reasoning was that if I can fly within a ‘built-up’ area at a recreational site then the 150m requirement may not apply at this site also.
It’s a tricky one isn’t it. 5 days out of 7 it’s either industrial or commercial so is that “substantially”?
Personally, at a weekend I’d see if the gates were locked or if there was security on-site. Nobody on-site means no uninvolved people so crack on but just maintain your distances to the existing properties. Just make a note of the 24 hour contact number that should be on the gates should you have an incident.
If you could get your Parish Council to back you on the cataloguing of the changing village landscape then that would really help if you decided to approach the developer, other than that I probably wouldn’t speak to them in advance.
