Can I use any other make of controller with my Eachine E58 drone?

Does a drone have to use its own controller ?
I have an Eachine E58 - can I use a better controller, or does each drone only work with its own controller ?

As it’s a relatively cheap (by drone standards) unit I doubt it. Looks like an ok device to not spend a lot of money on something and see if you get into the hobby. There’s a reason the likes of the DJI and other models cost 5x as much. You get what you pay for. Even then you can’t always change the controller. But without decent wind resistance and a gimbal on the camera you’re never going to get any smooth footage from this type of drone.

Are there settings to change the sensitivity of the sticks at all in the app so it’s not so jerky?

Thanks for your message. Yes, I bought it a few months ago as a trainer, in due course I plan to go for a DJI Mini 2. Currently I’m still getting the hang of the basic controller, soon I will try it with the app.

You’ll probably be able to pair it with one of the 4in1 multiprotocol radios. A few years ago I was given an Eachine E010 whoop which I was able to pair to my FrSky Taranis with a self-built 4in1 module. However, unless you intend to get into traditional RC flying or FPV flying the expense of a multiprotocol capable radio is somewhat overkill just to fly a cheap Eachine quad.
