Looks like either an MJX bug or one of the Eachine. Whatever it is it is toy grade.

Hard to tell really but with a screenshot & put it into google it came up with this but as above is probably just toy grade

No idea… but my first thought was that I’ve definitely seen it pop up on my Facebook feed in one of those adverts selling stuff that’ll take a month to arrive from China and is likely to burn your house down.

Looks a little like a Hubsan (Mine is clearly modded)

That certainly looks similar…

I’m only asking as i saw it as part of a WhatsApp avatar. I’ll be seeing the owner soon. I didn’t want to message the person as they don’t know me at all yet.

Just curious.

He’s obviously a hill walker with his wife and flies it
Whilst up the hills.

I wish i could climb anything LOL

We don’t need to climb anything :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:we have drones :muscle:

LOL.
Must admit that is what attracted me to drones as a photographer… not the flying but access to places I could not get to.

Now i like the flying part … As opposed to up, left, forward, snap and then push the RTH button.

DON’T laugh.

Definitely looks like a hubsan 501 but don’t recognise the rc,the hubsan advanced RC is more like a square box with 2 antennas.

Love my 501 it’s a great flyer

Or, in my case, plot out a course with Litchi, set heights and camera angles, places to take the picture then run the whole flight as a simulation in Google Earth before going out and doing the real thing by pressing START

Hi macspite

I thought I’d pressed send on this reply hours ago… DUH!

anyway… I looked briefly at Litchi when i had a Mini 2 a couple of years ago and then sold it (regrettably)
I don’t think the 4K is compatible with it presently…

But thought I read that automated flying was not allowed except RTH (the article didn’t cover the quick shots that are built in) . Maybe read this wrong… wouldn’t be the first time
:man_facepalming:

some clarfication is needed on this point… I’m a tad confused

It isn’t, neither is the 2SE, which is why I’m hanging on to my Mini 2. Underrated drone, the Mini 2.

Not at all sure of my facts so don’t get yourself into trouble because you listened to me, but I believe the CAA ban on automated flying refers to ‘autonomous’ automated flying, where the drone makes it’s own realtime navigational decisions. Litchi and Maven (I have Maven) allow you to program a waypoint route or geofence an area, but the drone is still under your observation and control. This extends to ‘follow me’ & ‘circle me’ as well.

No

Like quickshots and like RTH Litchi can be overidden. The flight is autonomous but not outwith human control.

You still need to maintain VLOS and be prepared to switch to manual if necessary.
