Can't connect to a neo by Wi-Fi

Apologies if I’ve posted this in the wrong place, but I’ve got a problem with a new neo.
It’s all charged up and there’s no obvious hardware issues. The phone (samsung a20e) has wifi, location and bluetooth turned on.

However everytime I tried to connect to the drone in the app, I got this error message (as photo).
A bit of research showed the a20e only supports 2.4 GHz, so obviously that’s why I couldn’t see the 5 GHZ neo in the list of available wifi networks on my phone. But the error message also showed a solution, switch to 2.4 GHz in the app.

But, when I try to follow the instructions, there’s no “Quick Transfer Band” option in profile > settings. So my first question is where I can find and change that setting in the dji fly app?

Secondly, if that’s not possible to change that, can I use the neo with a tablet that does have 5 GHz? Yes that’s a bulky way to fly, but it’s cheaper than buying a new phone or the dji controller.

Thanks!

Hi @mrsparky, it looks as though you’re quite new here :wave:t2:

Why not nip over to the Introductions page, and say hello properly and tell us a bit about yourself. :+1:t2:

The transmission freq 2.4, 5.8 or both are in the Settings under the transmission header.

The DJI Fly app does not allow users to directly set the transmission frequency to 2.4 GHz. However, if Dual-band is selected, users can choose between 2.4 or 5.8 GHz, and then change from Auto to Manual, apparently. Not had to try this myself, but maybe worth a go!

Are you using a VPN on your phone. I found this caused connection problems with the neo, as soon as I disabled it, it worked.
