Well, I use to use the FREE Windows Movie Maker for my videos as absolutely rubbish and thick when it comes to use others with having to look at this, add that etc.
When movie maker stopped working advice was to use Capcut and was enjoying it. I normally add drone video… add fancy bits at start and finish, then music and upload.
I recently did a couple of videos where I was speaking… Well to me the Audio on playback after uploading to YouTube is rubbish. Why as no way to adjust in the app unless pro version?
Are there any better ones out there for free and very easy to use. Here is a couple of videos I did other day… Vaping and also my Operation.
Sadly, Non-linear Video Editors tend not to be particularly simple and have a bit of a learning curve attached.
Da Vinci Resolve probably can’t be beaten for free but it will be a bit of a transition from Windows Movie Maker. Fortunately there are lots of great (and usually short) tutorials on YouTube. I’ve found the best way forward is to focus on a single task (e.g. how do I add a transition?) and look for tutorials on that - there are usually several to choose from.
The other thing about Resolve is, it might need a PC with a bit of grunt. As another alternative, I’ve found ShotCut to be generally good and a bit more lightweight. Also free.
Thank you so much for the info. I have downloaded Davinci Resolve and also Adobe Rush and just need to install one and have a play, so think will try Davinci Resolve first.
Ive made a note of the Shotcut too, but issue downloading but will keep trying at some point.
CapCut is definitely one of the best mobile editors out there for creating smooth and engaging videos. I often use it alongside Pixellab App Free to design custom text and graphics before importing them into CapCut for animation and transitions. The combo really levels up your content without needing a PC—perfect for creators on the go!
