Cases - Spark, Batteries, Tablet, etc

I’d be interested to know what case people use for their gear. I’m using a Smatree plastic foam lined box but can’t quite get all my gear in so end up with the box and a bag. The box would be ideal if I could also get my tablet in. Any suggestions?

It might help people with suggestions if you list the kit that you want to get into it … type of drone, number of batteries, chargers, etc, etc.

Spark, three spare batteries, controller and an iPad mini. Also have the usual extras like spare props. Thanks.

I don’t know whether MC cases do one for a Spark but worth a look on Amazon. I have 2 - one for a Mavic 2 Pro and other for a Mavic Air. The former holds all you have plus a Smart controller and ordinary controller, space for iPad mini and other flat stuff under the foam inlay and also pretty much all the charging gear of which there is a lot. The only fault with MC cases for me are (apart from eye watering price) is they have some foam padding in the top lid but not netting for holding miscellaneous bits which would be handy. Cheaper cases do and have pockets for props and cables but lose out on available space and other functionality.

You will get a much better idea by looking at what is available on Amazon rather than waiting for a list of suggestions from here. No substitute for a set of pictures of what is offered.

Thanks so much for your advice. I hope the find the ideal case where I can get all my gear in the one case. I’ll get there in the end. I’ll keep looking on Amazon…like the pictures and feedback from others.

There’s been a few threads on here about cases, have you tried a search @Ralfhayling?

I had this one when I had my Spark, everything you want will fit in it, my future son-in-law has it now as he bought the Spark from me.
I paid just over £20.

There is this one for three batteries, you probably don’t need your charger so accessories would fit the charger slot and your iPad Mini would fit in the zipped pocket.

Personally I use individual cases and bags for all separate components then chick them in whatever pack or daysack suits the trip.

Curious how others protect and transport their drone(s)

I use a smatree carry bag

Usually just strapped to the outside of my bag. Usually carry a bunch around at the same time… I’m a little light on quads atm… note to self. Build more quads

Ah okay, so do you fly fpv?

Lol how did you guess? Yup I’m an fpv pilot. Been flying for err about 5 years now

Oh wow, do you have the DJI fpv?

Yes I got sent a set by dji for review. I can’t publish the review till the next issue of the magazine I write for is published.

If it’s something your interested one I suggest starting with the fpv101 thread I wrote as this will give you a solid basis to get started.

I’m also happy to talk (at great length) on anything you may wish to know

I’m not looking into it at the moment especially as I’ve just got a Mavic 2 zoom
