Fine example of 'post' windmill where it rotates on a fixed base. Privately owned but visits allowed on payment of a fee. I flew from a gatepull-in on the A6096
The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 16/09/2021. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.
This site is now a coffee shop. I don’t know how the new owners would feel about drone flight but it does get very busy at times and it is possible that it may not be the most appropriate place to fly.
There is however ample on-site parking and they have some really nice cakes.
Apparently someone local to me said the owner doesn’t allow TOAL on his land without crossing his palm with silver.(£10, I’ve been told) Seeing as there’s a public highway running right past it, I think I’d rather TOAL there. Nowt he can do to prevent overflying the property really.
