Cauldron Snout Waterfall, North Pennines - Added to Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in North East

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission not required.

Reckoned to be the longest waterfall in England.

Car park at ///blissful.boosted.mole it is free but there is a voluntary fee for the upkeep should you choose to contribute you can do with cash or a pay by phone app.

Once you have parked it is a 30 minute walk (at a reasonable pace) to the waterfall and the reservoir retaining barrier. Be careful as the rocks alongside the waterfall can be slippery!

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 16/11/2022. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

I want to fly here @markas, have you got any other tips or advice?

You could take in High Force, Cauldron Snout & High Cup Nick in a good days walk. Preferably in that order for the most spectacular effect. Would need to organise transport at the end.

Done the walk twice, once on Pennine Way, where I camped beside Cauldron Snout.

Check the weather, wasn’t a great day when I visited and some mist surrounded me pretty quickly, was very quiet when I visited, dare say in the summer months it is probably quite busy. I clambered along some rocks to get a better visual view when it is wet they are treacherous, as i found out so be careful.
