Problem with cheapo drones is that the controls are so poor (in the sense of being on/off, full speed or nothing) that there is very little that you can learn from them that translates to outdoor flying with a ‘proper’ drone. You cannot properly control speed. Few if any can hover steadily, they drift, and it is easy to get into a cycle of overcorrections that make crashing inevitable.
Make sure you get one with full, all-round, propguards.
