The AirdataUAV OKto Fly forecast for Cheesefoot Head doesn’t llok too promising - solid red for winds Tuesday, ok wednesday until 12:00 then orange for gusts for the rest of the day.
I flew in less winds than the forecasts above on Saturday night and was getting “too strong for RTH” warnings several times in a 8 minute flip.
Sorry to put a dampener on things.
However - Met Office forecast for Winchester on Weds only gives surface winds as 7 mph, gusting 20 at 13:00 and similar at 16:00
Whereabouts do you fly from up at cheesefoot. Last time i went up there i found a mound about ÂĽ down the southdowns way. But would be interested to know where everyone else takes off from.
I would happily, but I broke my new Mini 4 Pro this morning filming a crop circle!!! Drone decided, with 12% battery still left, to land with no warning in a barley field and one of the front rotor arms caught a barley stalk.
Not sure it’s an easy fix or a job for the Drone clinic. Any thoughts?
You’re right, this does look like all I need! Thanks so much Dave, thats an enormous help and gives me confidence, that I might be able to fix it myself!!
@macspite , @lbrou .. if you can make it, please go the the meetup and add yourselves.
@Guy617 , you showed an interest for Tuesday .. hopefully you can also make it in Wednesday?
I may also be there tomorrow (Tuesday) at around 12:00 .. but left the official meetup as Wednesday due poll result and potentially better weather forecast.
