So, having to take a couple of days holiday before end of Feb, I found myself coming up with crazy ideas of where to go and what to video with my drone.
And here I find myself tonight in Kyiv, Ukraine
Just about to hit the sack to wake up early for a group tour of Chernobyl tomorrow, and a private tour with a permit to fly my drone in the Exclusion Zone all day on Tuesday!
So hopefully some good video and pictures to show soon.
There should still be 0.01220703125% left of the original number created after 14 days, you sure there’s not one hiding at the back of a draw somewhere…
Does anyone else remember rushing out and buying a microwave oven leak detector at that time and being somewhat alarmed it was picking up on the soil outside
Dam it… ran out of fingers, O well off with the shoes and socks…
mutter, mutter, mutter, thats still 1.3306E-108 % left
Or in English 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000013306%

Watch the guide as he puts the counter on the ground near grids etc - reading still go off the scale.
All my mate said when he went was “Run Forest, Run”. His Mrs swears blind she doesn’t need to put the light on when she goes to the loo at night any more cos of the “glow” from the bed lol
The guides can be real helpful and give good warnings when the Police are about and when they leave so folk can get into some of the buildings - fill them memory cards matey
We stayed with family in Kiev last year and had the two day trip to Chernobyl. Couldn’t get official permission to fly the drone but the guide kindly fixed for me to have a few minutes flight. Perhaps the permission has been relaxed after the Ukrainian president said they are opening up Chernobyl for more tourism. Jealous if you get a full day. Facinating place. Mavic Air BTW. Be careful flying near the Woodpecker. Signal kept breaking up due to proximity of all that steel I guess.
