I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

1072×1920 580 KB

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

Park next to large rocks next to building. When approaching from the north there will be signs for course fishing follow that it takes you up a small road under trees and will be on the left.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 21/10/2021. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Hey looking for some newbie advice please. I have a DJI pro 4 Mini and was looking to fly at the above location but everything I have seen online says it’s for FPV drones. Does this mean there is no point me going to this location, I just want a safe place to fly and practice if that makes sense

No, it absolutely doesn’t mean that :smiley:

What it does mean is that it’s ideal for FPV drones - and those types of location are relatively few and far between compared to locations ideally suited for camera drones so we always try to highlight these where possible.

It’s pretty picturesque up there too, urban decay on one side and given the height of the location good views of the surrounding area

If I may add - if you happen to see some other pilots in there - specifically FPV ones - it is always a good idea to talk to them before switching on your drone as doing so can interfere with their signal.
