Choosing the right Stack

I’m about to build a Flyfish Voltador 3.5 inch over the coming weeks (when parts arrive).

I’ve been hampered by stock issues for some parts and i’m also trying to keep costs fairly low (christmas coming and all that)

So I’ve got motors ordered, air unit available and most of the other things I need apart from a FC & ESC or Stack.

The suggested stack on Banggood is this one for the 3.5

With this one being recommended for the 3 inch

Now apart from the former being a brand name and the max current on the iflight stack being 55a vs 40a on the HAKRC stack - I can’t see any reason why I couldn’t use the cheaper stack on my build.

Does anyone with more technical knowledge than me think otherwise?

For reference the motors are

FlyFishRc Flash 1804 3500 kv

I’d avoid the iFlight controller
From the ones I’ve seen the build quality is poor
:frowning:

I’m currently building the same frame but in a 3-inch size. I’ve chosen the Diatone MAMBA F722, though it’s not cheap, unfortunately. If I were on a budget, I would probably consider the SpeedyBee F405 Mini Stack. I’ve heard mixed reviews about SpeedyBee stacks, but I’ve been using one on my 5-inch build without any issues."

If i’m honest I don’t think its worth the crazy price and would much rather pay for the mamba instead.

That said - do you see anything wrong with the HakRC fc - looks like cracking value for money for a little bando ripper

Nice to hear. It looks like a cracking frame and solid too.

I love the Mamba stacks but the extra £30 means i can buy other stuff - maybe some batteries etc.

Mamba is my 2nd choice should this one not be suitable

Speedybee is cheap - used them before too - another good contender

I think they’re reasonably priced, and if you buy directly from them, their aftersales support is usually good. Plus, the Bluetooth feature for the app is really convenient for adjusting settings and managing rates out in the field without a laptop.

Gone for the speedy bee.

The other looks better but realised that on of my favourite drones has a speedybee stack and that flies beautifully.
