Hi I have looked through the forum and Youtube for How to’s concerning best settings / practices / tutorials to maximise Cinematography for the Dji Mini 2 since the new Dji Fly update v1.94 but without any luck can someone point in the correct direction many thanks in advance only had my drone for 4 days and its my first.
Hi John,
Please see an earlier post of mine linked below.
Many thanks that was a great help
Hi John. Watch this guys video. They dont get any smoother and he shows you his RC settings and inputs on screen at the same time as the drone footage, so you can see in real time the affect of the inputs. Really changed the way I setup my drone RC sensitivity and the way I filmed with my mini 2 footage.
@D0c.Col good tips & tricks in that video, he makes it look so easy,
I just went down the local Park football fields and practised parallax moves while going up and down really slow until I run out of batteries. I had Cinematic mode on with very lowest yaw to start with then knocked it up a level by one until it was perfect for me. Haven’t used quickshots since.
By the time I get round too trying to do a video, technology will have changed
I’ll give it a go when the weather warms up, maybe
I use the moves to get the photo composition and have record on all the time (obviously between photo taking). Be surprised how much footage is useable.
many thx
looks great thanks my only issue is this is pre update to 1.94 now they changed advanced gimble to EXPO Pitch/Roll Yaw Up/Down instead of Pitch Speed Pitch Smoothness Yaw Rotation Speed… just wondering how it translates
Very similar but actually easier once you know where it all is. They changed the terminology to Gain and expo Tuning in the Control settings but its basically the same.
Find a field. Get your drone up in front of you hit the 3 dots top right of your screen. Go to Control and just below Units is the G&ET. The lower the number on angular velocity is the slowest it will Yaw. The Higher the number on smoothness the slower it will stop turning (so it wont stop suddenly with a jerk and feathers the movement so no jerk).
Adjust settings for C mode as above and keep playing with the adjustment from lowest yaw and highest smoothness until your happy with the way it moves. N mode you need more resonsive and s mode just leave it where its default is.
You cant set the controls without the drone in the air.
I played with my DJI RC for ages as it was more sensitive than my RC-N1 but after a few flights I dialled it in to my liking .
