Clachan Sands North Uist

This is my version of Albatross, all guitar parts were played on Pedal Steel Guitar.

The background video was shot at Clachan Sands in North Uist in the Scottish Outer Hebrides, a truly amazing place. The sands there are formed from sea shells that have broken up over thousands of years and is very fine and silver coloured.

The overall colour hues of Clachan Sands continuously change with the changes in the light and has a magical feel about it.

I edited your post to create the embedded player.

Cool, thanks for doing that. I’ll know the next time :ok_hand:

Cracking, great playing on the music and quality visuals… All it needs - for me - is some drone footage added

Indeed, I would like to go back there, maybe later this year and take some drone footage.

The video was shot on a Panasonic 4k camcorder, I didn’t do any colour correction or effects, I thought it was fine as it was.

Actually you’ve made me think it would be good to combine video taken on the Panasonic with drone footage, could be interesting to combine the two different approaches. But first I’ve got to learn to fly this thing :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi Geoff,

Yup, combining handheld video, with drone footage and even stills photography is a great way to add variety to your editing, especially if you combine close up handheld or low angle hand held with drone footage, there are some shots that cannot be done with a handheld device and need a drone, and other shots that are simpler to capture handheld, especially when people are around…

Its one of the reaosns why I want an OSMO Pocket 3 handheld gimbal camera to use alongside the drone, sadly my budget wont allow me to get one yet, but hopefully sometime this year…
