First of all forget what I put at the start of the last Barr Beacon meet…
Well this will be our last meet for a bit… We will be away the following week at the Big Meet.
Because that was a lie as there was one more Sunday before the Big Meet. This time it is correct.
Also as I remember typing this error in. Anyway. Try again.
So once again a Sunday meet at the Barr Beacon.
This is a great place to go as you are nice and high with views… Have a look at Ian's video following a plane all the way to Birmingham airport and watching touch down and some planes you see the smoke off the wheels.
As usual one of us will be there for 10am. The first one of us who is there will park in front of the blue binoculars and the other will park a few car widths away to make the chat area. Check the map so you get the right entrance.
Height restriction of 2.67m / 8.9ft use the left lane to avoid tyre damage as there are two lanes (right if you are coming out).
A great location for people who have any mobility issues as you can fly from your car and should it rain then you can sit in your car until it stops. No toilets on site but look on map for places.
Message the forum if you have difficulty.
Got a remote control car… bring it too. Off road one? Ask about the off road area for the car.
Not got a drone, thinking about it, plenty of drones to have a look at and lots of advice. Just join the chat area. Do not forget to bring a chair and sit with us when you are not flying. It's a social meet and a flying meet so some join us when not flying. Don't forget to come and see me when you get there (somewhere by the orange or blue car) so we can check you in.
Official end time is 2pm but when we have in the past been known to stay longer
Anyone left are free to stay and fly or chat for a bit. If you do let us know you got back safe.
P.S. if you see there is no space to sit with us and you have brought a chair. I will see you and we can move a car or move chairs around. No one will be left out.
See you there. As weather starts to get colder these meets will start to cease again. No one likes being cold and especially at this high up.

We are aware that some of the Barr Beacon Fliers will not be at the big meet so why not one of you set up a meet to go there. Make sure you send some photos to us.
Or, just come down to the big meet, still time to pay and join everyone.
