This is the second video from yesterday’s trip to Trevose Headland, just west of Padstow on the North Cornish Coast. This is the western side of the headland, home to Trevose Head lighthouse, as well as Round Hole, a large collapsed sea cave. On the east of the headland is Mother Ivy’s Bay, home to the RNLI Padstow lifeboat, as seen in a separate video posted earlier today. I hope you enjoy the clips
Really thought you were going to fly into the cave there for a second.
Hah, memories are a funny thing. I remember staying at ex-mil static at mother Ivys bay. I remember that big hole but not the lighthouse! Beautiful footage.
Ha. No hope
Thanks very much. Tbh, I’d never heard of the collapsed cave either, and it was only reading the sign in the car park that I found out about it
Great video, stayed at Padstow many times, I love that coast from Padstow up to Boscastle.
Many thanks. It’s such a beautiful stretch
Stunning footage Jeremy Love this. Loads of history too. Folk had been crying out for a lighthouse for 40 years prior to its opening in 1847. It didn’t become automated until only 27 years ago. They’ve now turned it into holiday cottages, but folk are warned to bring ear plugs due the fog horn
Thanks for sharing Jesbot. Great scenery, video and music. Excellent thanks james
Thanks for the kind words
