On the south west side of the plateau is the last remaining Elizabethan beacon hut in the country, which would have been used to signal the approach of the Spanish Armada. There are extensive views too, from Exmoor to Dartmoor.
The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 21/09/2025. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location. Landowner permission may be required before taking off.
