DaVinci problem!

Help you clever experienced DaVinci Resolve users. I stupidly folled a Youtube idea trying to enlarge the edit screen.

I clicked top left DaVinci Resolve - Preferences - User - UI Display Scale. Then set that from Auto to 200%.

Anyway on my small laptop I have lost half the screen because its too big, and although I can change it back to Auto or 100% I can’t Save it so it stays on 200%. Nor can I see 3 dots on the top right.

I have tried screen resolution changes. Display changes. Davinci would’nt help much as it is the free version. I have uninstalled it, deleted all of the program and associated files that I could find. Reinstalled it even V 19, but it still starts up the same.

Any ideas??

TIA

If you click and drag on this bar area (to the right of “UI Settings”), can you not drag the preferences window high enough to see the Save button?

Next idea - after changing to Auto (or 100%), try pressing the Tab key 5 times, and then pressing Enter.
You should see …

… and even if you cant see the OK button, pressing Enter will OK it.

Then you need to close DR and restart it for the setting change to take effect.

Further idea …

If you grab the very top edge of the UI settings window …

… and drag down (to make the window as short as it will go), and then grab the bar area (as in suggestion 1) and drag the whole Settings window up … you can make the window so short enough that you should be able to see, and click on, the Save button?

You’re probably the first? … not really.

I know I did something a little similar when the new feature (as it was about 3 years ago) came out.

Glad it’s sorted. :+1:
