Great news, though some of us are still trying to get to grips with 16

Only the Beta has been “released” (hence no prompted update when you open 16.x) … and there are reported stability issues with it.

Some nice features … but from pros I’ve seen report on it, some are seriously processor needy.

Time will tell.

Brave user alerted :joy: and new beta downloaded. Will report once I have had a little play with it.

To be honest, I will only be able to use the very basic functions.

The “very basic functions” probably have little change to them.

I know, I’m just a sucker for sinew shiny things. Software or hardware, it doesn’t matter to me.

On stability I will have to report after been playing properly with it, it seems to lead a little faster.
It picked up my old projects with no issues and seems to hog a minimum of 2.5GB of memory. So far so good. When paying a bit project it climbs to 3.2Gb, but CPU is still only using about 7% and 12% of it.

What it does use is power (Very high)

Well thats 10 mins i won’t get back. For the studio edition you need a activation key. Uninstall time :face_with_raised_eyebrow::rofl:

Yes, you have the free version or the studio one.

If you have the money and you know how to make usage of all the extra bits, I heard that’s great, but to be fair, for most of us, the fee version should be fine.

Good try, though.

Downloading the standard one now.

Just looking at the blurb for the studio version and read that it had advanced HDR grading options.

It does have a few more tricks of their sleeve. But, for me, at the time been, I’m not sure I can use half of the functions the free one has, never mind paying for something that I cannot use.

I’ve always had 16 studio edition so don’t know any different. Installing now so will update. :+1:

Going Well :unamused: after loading first clip to the timeline…

Crashed again… even after optimising media. Added one clip to the time line and clicked play, Boom! Gone!

Back to 16 i go… :door: :walking_man:‍♂

:joy: didnt get that far :sob:

The option to add titles to your timeliness is much improved… you actually get a preview now. Not that I got to use it.

The free version has always had stabilisation … as per this footage I made over 2 years ago.
It’s found in several places within DR, for different objectives.

That’s really effective :ok_hand: ive never used it.

You’re so lucky. Mine has not crashed so far.

I am messing around a little and doesn’t seem. To be problematic.

As per stabilisation, if I am right, this option is available for the free version.
