DaVinci Resolve 17 Released!

From 2:02 looks more natural Steve, before that it’s blown. You trying to get too much out of that sky?

Yeah think i am John, I vision a bright blue sky but think I’ve pushed it to far, In fact I pushed it of the damn cliff with bricks attached :man_facepalming::rofl:

I’m wondering as I’m loading an old project, would I be building layers from my previous edits where I initially added LUTS. Maybe I should start again? Does each clip need resetting.

Yeah but that seems to intelligently do per channel curves not all rgb at once. Would be nice to have something a bit faster but I guess manual is always possible.

Could be worth starting from fresh and see how you get on.

It does attack all RGB at once although you can split it in to the separate channels. Using the Hue vs Sat or Hue vs Lum can help, but ultimately it won’t be as good as the dehaze tool itself. With dehaze you can specify which colour to attack with a qualifier which makes it so much more accurate. It also does other wizardry that I’ve never fully recreated although I’m sure someone more skilled could get closer.

Today, DaVinci Resolve 17 is now out of Beta.

… and the zipped installer grew from 1.7GB (for the last v16) to almost 2.4GB! :open_mouth:

Nice mate, cant quite justify the price atm :sob:

Is the Studio key for one machine only or can it be used on multiple?

Two machines.

hmmm, so you could effectively go halves with someone ?

No idea.

Going halves with the Speed Editor might be tricky.

So finding someone that wants to pay half only for DR might be even more tricky.

I want the end with the dial :joy:

But exactly what it does depends on which button the person with the other end presses.

You won’t regret that at all. Remember to change your render settings to Nvidia rather than native

@Committee - do you think there’s demand/need for a software/editing type section for all the lightroom, DR, Premiere etc questions and content?
