Davinci Resolve 18.5 Beta Released - (Both Studio and Free)

If you didn’t want to leap to this 18.5, as yet, at least Blackmagic leave all old installers available for download. 18.1.4 was sound.

This is rather good too (in 18.5) … Render Cache deletion tools.

The “Manage Cache Data” lists all projects and the amount of disk space they’re using, you can select the ones you want to delete, and delete.

Just removed over 30k files! … and can’t recall how many GB. :+1:

That’s a good one, I dread to think how many GB’s worth I’ve got.

yea always delte the renderd cache after every project haha helps save space

Obviously - but who does? There are usually more important things in life.

Also, some projects can take much longer, be ongoing, and hence can be overlapping each other, and others that are started and completed within their duration. Deleting all the cache then wastes your time when next you work on a project that hadn’t been completed and as a result the cache continually grows.

Now one can review the amount of cache per project at any time and remove just that for projects that you won’t be revisiting.

A limited requirement, but a new feature in 18.5 that’s handy to have it within DR … animated GIF. :+1:

A Hyundai comes a cropper at Molecombe at the Goodwood Festival of Speed … a few minutes ago.
Hyundai

DR creates them real quick, too! :+1:

That is awesome :star_struck:

Those 3 GIFs deserve to be placed in a dedicated topic so more folks get to see them. :grinning:

Just looked at the timetable. Not sure that’s the “moment” Hyundai had in mind. :joy:

Well - I only grabbed from YT - not mine - and they’re quite low res to keep the size down.

In hi-res video they look better … but YTs copyright sniffer would find them in seconds.

Only posted since the idea of uploading GIFs here made me think about testing the new DR 18.5 feature.

Now out of Beta …
