Davinci Resove - 19 - Public Beta

I’d ask … “What benefits are you looking for?”. If FCPX does everything and doesn’t leave you wanting more, then it’s probably good enough for what you want.

Resolve can do pretty much anything - albeit in different ways, quite often.

It’s powerful in terms of features that I doubt anyone is a master of them all.

The history of Resolve started with colour grading, and is considered by the industry to be a leader, with the best of other “modules” bought and added in - Fusion for compositing, and Fairlight for audio.

The best “comprehensive” beginners guide I’ve come across is this one … (albeit on v18.6 … but at beginner level there are few differences in v19) …

At 4 hrs 39 mins it’s no lightweight … but it is comprehensive and it is aimed at beginners, and doesn’t do more than mention some of the more esoteric feature where needed.
