Its done - unsure if it is any different in terms of an improvement. I guess I will need to use it more. Plan to do some 4K vids with the drone so that should be interesting as not uploaded anything in4k yet.
Youâve uploaded that as a 4k video (which will be as a result of your rendering settings in DR) ⌠so, whatever res your source clips are, that might explain the 20 mins to upload. (That and your internet speed, of course.)
Yes I did do that - good point! Well I have just taken some 4K with the drone and am now going play about with that in Da Vinci. Once complete I will post the result in a seperate thread Thanks
Had a few hiccups with Da Vinci since I have had it. One crash, although it did remember my progress so relatively easy to get round. Then tonight while rendering a 4.50 video it crashed at 60%. Had to force close and open, and it had lost my audio entirely.
Another thing which I am going to find out about it is the blur transition, whenever I use it in the timeline, aftrt the effect it speeds up the video for half a second on the way out of the effect. So everything it smooth and then once the blur ends the video speeds up. This doesnât occur on the saved file though which I am currently uploading as my second video. (In 1080P this time for ease)
Just wanted to revisit this, as have had some messaged pop up today when using DV. It says âDV has reached a limitationâ and goes on to try and get me to buy the studio version. This was whilst fiddling through the video transitions. I notice that not all of them work, only some of them will apply to the video transitions when you hover them over the ends of clips. I am basically only using the 4 or 5 at the top of the menu anyway as I donât fancy the others much, and I prefer fade. I presume it is sending me this prompt as I am have clicked on something that comes with studio?
Also, are there sufficient videos online to cater for the colour changing page and fairlight for audio as I would like to start experimenting with these pages but donât have a clue where to start or what they do. The colourâs on my latest videos are dull owing to the time of year so was hoping I could apply some boost to the clips, but these DV tabs are a total mystery to me.
MANY for colour grading, and quite a few for Fairlight (although Iâve not looked for ones on Fairlight beyond interest),
Both have a bazillion more features than youâll be needing, so keep things simple and focused on what you need to do what you want to do.
Also - remember than colour grading is highly subjective. Nobody can tell you what youâve done is right or wrong - only that they might have done it differently, and you might not like what they would have done.
Fairlight is probably the least used/needed tab for most of our hobbyist drone footage videos. If youâve added music, the volume control is probably all you really need. Certainly Iâve used it the least, the audio controls on the edit page being more than adequate.
Remember - itâs designed to be used in this kind of environment âŚ
