Someone made the point that a drone delivering a package looks much the same as a drone delivering a bomb.
So we need digital authorisation to distinguish between:
Drivers of cars delivering kids to school and drivers of ccars delivering bombs
Women with handbags containing phone and other bits and pieces and women with handbags containing bombs
Vans parked outside buildings while the driver delivers a package and vans parked outside buildings while the driver sets off a bomb …
The Merkins are getting even more paranoid under the current administration
I can’t see the UK authorities being in a huge rush to implement anything like this… they’ve barely the budget/manpower to police the rules we’ve got, let alone every drone flight everywhere. Besides, it’s taken more than half a decade to decide we’ll just rebrand the EASA class markings and hope nobody notices.
Suspect the way this will go is that we’ll adopt a “wait and see” approach as the US system is developed by whatever company they outsource it to. It will be monetised by collecting far more data than is required, somebody will challenge it as unconstitutional, and it will die a death before ever being implemented.
What’s more worrying is that the chairman of the committee asked if a long range drone could be used to send a bomb from Canada or Mexico, and straight away the answer came “Yes”.
Perfect excuse for the orange arsehole to invade either of them!
Somebody shoot the twat for god’s sake, and do it properly this time, not a put up job or an “attempted assination”.
That last shot was just a publicity stunt, to boost orange man’s popularity.
Then you get JD Vance or whatever it’s calling itself this week. And Project 2025 will continue on turning out the lights …
Couldn’t agree more.
I agree trump seemed to know it was coming
And he’s played on it ever since,as for changing VE day to victory day was an insult America didn’t win us WW2 they helped a bit at the end
And if Trumps not careful he could go down in history as the man who starts Mo.3
All these arguments against the potential weaponisation of drones . . . and yet they still allow psychopaths to legally buy assault rifles and mass murder school kids . . .
And people can still buy cars and trucks and fit them with bombs and all of the mentioned weapons systems (on a much bigger scale) (without regulation) !
