Digswell/Welwyn Viaduct - Added to Bridges in East of England

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 02/09/2021. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Incorrect location. Should be 51.82004929107984, -0.19357272881250373

@MA2flyer please confirm the accuracy of your marker pin on this location?

Hi -

I have just checked the location and this is the result - please confirm if this is what you want.

Digswell Water Mill Digswell Lane, Welwyn AL6 0SW

Hi Barrie @MA2flyer , I just wanted you to look at the pin on the map on Drone Scene and say, “Yes, it’s in the right place” - as @andyhogg is saying it’s not :person_shrugging:t2:

Hi -

I must confess as time passes my memory grows weaker - I have spent quite a period looking through content and video trying to understand if I made a mistake on the location.

I seem to be at a loss as to which side of the viaduct I was standing when flying the drone as the site is quite large. I seem to have to two postcodes written down and I think I must accept the details Andy Hogg suggests - I apologise if the content has to be removed.

Kindest regards

Barrie

I want to fly here @MA2flyer, but there are no parking or take off and landing markers. Would you be able to add some to the map please?

I’ve flown here too @MA2flyer
For those who haven’t: there are warning signs on fence posts about flying close to the railway but no prohibition that I could see. Best spot is on the long side of the path over the marsh. There’s even a handy bench to sit on.

At the.furthest end of the car park is fine to take off and land. The national rail zone ends just before the recycling bins

I wouldn’t fly directly over the tracks but you can get some nice shots of the viaduct

You can fly under them though  if you want a view from the other side. It’s a beautiful viaduct and hovering at a safe distance still gets you some great train footage!
