hmm … I wonder what they are sneaking in… anyone brave enough to update and see what has actually changed (120m height restriction for EU? RID?)

I quiver every time I see that cover all statement as to who they are sneaking something in for

That’s already in there

but it’s not enabled yet for the UK to broadcast is it?

yes it does for USA and Japan but not for EU or UK yet. at the moment it reads the firmware and looks at the GPS coordinates and if in Japan or us, it begins broadcasting… hence it would need a firmware update to toggle that broadcast signal for the UK and require you to plug your phone in before take off to phone home

No this is probably for the eu activation

Any member of the public & all citizens :scream::grimacing:

yeah, that’s what I thought… they are going to have to enable it somehow to toggle the “switch” to start broadcasting at some point, and once they are given a hard date they will just (probably) sneak it in so that the drone will do a date check (and location check) via the GPS signal and presto… RID broadcasting… done… plus no downgrade possible

Just don’t update then. I can’t understand people who just update because there’s an update out in front of there noses. If you can’t see anything of value in the release notes just don’t update. Simple, then there’s no quivering involved :rofl:
